Screening and Diagnostics

Mammography
Mammography involves low-dose radiation X-rays of the breast. There are two basic types of mammogram: screening and diagnostic.

Breast Self Exam
A breast self exam (BSE) is one of the easiest ways for a woman to track changes in her breast.

Clinical Breast Exam
A clinical breast exam is a thorough examination of a woman's breast by a professional health care provider.

Breast Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Breast MRI uses magnetic field and radio waves to produce images of the breast.

Breast Ultrasound
An ultrasound of the breast uses high frequency sound waves to generate images.

Biopsy
A biopsy involves removing fluid or tissue samples from the breast to be examined in a laboratory.
