UCH's Surgical Services provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient services for operative procedures, and is available for emergencies 24-hours a day.
The Main Operating Room consists of eight operating rooms and one cysto room and is capable of handling all types of surgery with the exception of open heart surgery. Open heart surgical procedures are performed in UCH's specialized Cardiovascular Operating Rooms.
About 500 surgical cases are performed monthly. A wide range of procedures are performed, including general, vascular, cardiovascular, orthopaedic, urological, neurosurgical and pediatric.
