The Skilled Care Unit, located within the hospital, offers post-acute skilled nursing therapy services. This setting offers several advantages to its residents. Residents who were hospitalized at University Community Hospital can maintain the services of the same physician who treated them in the hospital, providing for continuity of care. Residents in the Skilled Care Unit have access to the hospital’s many services such as laboratory testing, pharmacy, surgery, as well as respiratory, occupational, speech, and physical therapies.
