Endowment Gifts
Your endowment gift establishes a fund that is managed and invested by the UCH Foundation. Your purpose for the endowment is determined at the time of establishment. (For example, due to excellent care in our UCH Breast Care Center, you decide to establish an endowment to benefit the Center. You may specify that the income from the gift will be used to provide breast care education/treatment for the under-served in our community.)
The principal (your original donation) is never spent. The income earned by the fund will be expended for the purpose you designated when the fund was originally established.
You might consider establishing an endowment in remembrance or in honor of a loved one. This is a lasting tribute to your loved one, but also a working gift that ensures your intent to support a specific area of medicine, treatment and/or health care is carried out - in perpetuity.
The initial contribution to establish your endowment at UCH Foundation is $25,000. After that you may contribute additional sums if you desire. Your friends, family or other interested organizations may also contribute - at any time - to the endowment you have established .
