Bequests
One of the most common ways to make a planned gift is through a bequest in your will.
The tax laws encourage bequests; consequently, a bequest is an excellent way to support the programs at University Community Hospital.
Bequests work well if you are unable to make an immediate outright gift, but would like to plan for future support of an area of care to which you have a special connection.
Examples might be:
There are three basic types of bequests:
Specific
- the will outlines specific securities, funds, property, etc. to be given to the UCH Foundation.
General - the source of the payment to fulfill the bequest is not provided.
Residuary Bequest
- the will states that your residuary estate will be donated to UCH Foundation.
